Spring at Morgan Farm

What a wonderful spring weekend on the farm! Our thanks to Annette and Dan Morgan for sharing their beautiful farm with us over this past Memorial Day weekend.

Friends, family and Slow Food Northern Ohio members enjoyed a seasonal bounty of local grass-fed beef burgers, grilled local rabbit, smoked chicken, grilled sausage, grilled asparagus salad, shoefly pie, maple flan, rhubarb tart and a bounty of delicious sides too numerous to mention. Thank you to David for his chili cooking demo; to Herb for firin' up the smoker and that tasty smoked chicken; and kudos to Heidi, Rosanne, Martha, Annette and all the others who helped out in the kitchen. We worked it off playing corn hole, croquet and accompanying Dan and his goats on a golden hour goat walk through the fields -- sipping white wine, of course. A cozy campfire topped off a great day of food and farm fun.

If you missed us this past weekend, don't forget you can enjoy Morgan Farm anytime. Morgan Farmstay is available by the week, weekend or for special events. Check it out at www.morganfarmstudios.com.
