Wine 101 at L'Albatros

Join Sommelier, Brandon Chrostowski for five intimate evenings of wine education at L’Albatros.

Beginning Tuesday, February 16 and continuing through March, Chrostowski will guide guests through the most prolific wine regions of the world in a "chic" setting. Highlighting the core concepts over 5 weeks, guests will leave with an understanding of viticulture, vinification, major wine styles & regions as well as an academic approach to tasting wine.

The cost for all five sessions is $150.00 and will be held from 6:00-8:00pm every Tuesday Beginning February 16 and continue until March 16. Each session is from 6 -8 pm and will include flights of wine from the region, hors d’oeuvres and study material.

Reservations are required. Seating will be limited.

Slow Food Dinner at Dante!

Dante and Monica Boccuzzi have invited Slow Food Northern Ohio members and friends to a family-style dinner celebrating the opening of their new restaurant in Tremont!

What: Slow Food Dinner at Dante
When: Sunday, Jan. 31, 5:00pm
Where: Dante, 2247 Professor Ave., Tremont

Details: A three-course, Italian, family style menu will be with paired wine and will include: Duo of Pasta; Branzino or Grilled Beef; and Creme Brulee.

Price: $50 pp active Slow Food members / $60 pp non-members

Happy new year Slow Food members and friends!

If your new year’s resolutions involved eating more delicious, locally raised, grass-fed meat this year, we’d like you to meet Aaron and Melissa Miller.

On their Kinsman, Ohio farm, the Millers have raised grass-fed cattle with no chemical fertilizers, pesticides, hormones or antibiotics for the past decade!

And the Millers are here to help you with that grass-fed goal! The Millers have scheduled three delivery dates in Cleveland next week and will be bringing a wide variety of grass-fed beef as well as pork and lamb.
